The Raj Sodhi Jazz Ensemble plays the kind of jazz people love to hear, including the classic swing of Duke Ellington, the color of Bill Evans, the romance of A.C. Jobim, and many others. We employ the finest musicians of the north bay, and so are equally at home playing traditional jazz, classic swing jazz for dancing, bossa nova, blues or funk. We are thrilled to be the featured entertainment at San Francisco bay area wine tastings, cocktail parties, corporate events, weddings and swing dance parties. 

The Raj Sodhi Jazz Ensemble typically features piano, bass, drums, and optionally a vocalist or saxophone player. To help create a focal point for the entertainment and make the whole event truly sparkle, we recommend a quartet or quintet with a saxophone player and/or a vocalist. 

We have three packages, which we call "basic," "groovy" and "premium."

• Our basic package consists of either a piano or guitar trio (for example piano, bass and drums) for 3 hours of great music. This group has a quieter tone, and works well for background music, like a cocktail hour, or as guests are arriving at the event.
• Our groovy package is our most popular, consisting of a quartet with a person out front (sax/vocals) to draw the attention of the audience. 
• Finally, we provide our finest product with our premium ensemble. This group involves a quintet with piano, bass, drums, guitar, and vocals/sax. The energy of this group is simply awesome.

All of our musicians are extremely accomplished and reliable.  Most have professional degrees in music performance and arranging, and have shared the stage with some of the best in the industry.

Additional Services:

• We can provide a state-of-the-art sound system for speeches, toasts, etc. and recorded CD music during the breaks.
• Our keyboard player can also provide solo classical piano music for ceremonies, weddings, etc.
